Our client are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst to join their team.

The EDI Analyst will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the electronic exchange of information between the client and its business partners.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of EDI protocols, standards, and processes, as well as exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of EDI protocols and standards, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, and AS2.
  • Proficient in EDI mapping and translation tools. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues related to data communication and system integration.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and workflows, particularly in supply chain, logistics, or retail domains.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as D365 Finance & Operations, and their integration with EDI processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle large volumes of data and ensure data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain EDI maps, including translation rules and processes, to facilitate the exchange of electronic data between our company and external trading partners.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to gather and analyse business requirements, ensuring compliance with EDI protocols and standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, identifying and resolving errors or discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure a smooth flow of information. • Create and maintain documentation related to EDI processes and procedures, including mapping specifications, data interchange agreements, and trading partner profiles.
  • Coordinate with external trading partners to onboard new partners, manage EDI testing, and resolve any issues related to data exchange.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate EDI Systems and processes with internal systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency. • Provide training and support to internal users on EDI processes, tools and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with EDI guidelines and standards, including data accuracy, data security, and data confidentiality.
  • Assist in support testing and implementation of various changes in systems and processes that impact the company.
  • Provide second- and third-line support on the ERP systems
  • Take responsibility for ERP systems as required, ensure implementation, support and training completed to the expected standards
  • Ensure all required documentation completed to the required standards
  • Provide Out of Hours support for the business, in line with the rest of the Group IT Department
  • Understand objectives, processes and the technology environment within D365.
  • Interact with stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain the current ERP systems
  • Support Managers in business process improvements using the ERP systems to support these.
  • Assist in customising the ERP systems at a technical level to ensure backend systems are 'up to task' and efficient
  • Identify Risk to the system, whether this be system based or personnel based
  • Evaluate ERP systems to develop and drive continuous improvements.
  • Work with and advise 3rd party suppliers on developing the ERP products in line with the business' requirements and expectations.
