This is a full time and long term position (8:30 until 15:30), available from the first week of September 2024.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
- Supervise pupils with SEND and ALN, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
- Provide opportunities for developing independence.
- Create a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
- Assist with the display of pupils' work and the planning of learning activities.
- Undertake administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs (desirable)
- Be comfortable working with children with SEN
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- Strong work ethic
- A passion for learning and supporting children
