Simpson Judge are partnered with a client in Stockport to support them in their search for a dynamic Finance Director. This role will oversee all financial operations, financial control, budgeting, compliance and strategic planning. The successful candidate will work closely with the SLT and CEO, acting as a sounding board. This is a hands on, fluid role where no two days will be the same. Location: Stockport (Hybrid) plus travel to various sites
Responsibilities:
- Cashflow monitoring and management, ensuring strong cost control
- Oversight of AR, AP & Payroll
- Development and implementation of robust processes and controls
- Lead the budgeting process, closely monitoring performance vs budget. Supporting department heads to understand individual budgets and financial performance
- Development of KPIs to measure financial performance
- Ensuring compliance with audit, accounting and tax regulations
- Oversight of M&A activity from a financial perspective
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Experience in a PE backed business
- Strong systems experience
- Financial modelling experience
- Experience working with local authorities would be a bonus
- Corporate Finance/M&A experience would be beneficial
