Reed is collaborating with a forward-thinking national law firm seeking a candidate to join their team in a corporate, client-facing role in Bristol city centre.

As Office Host, you will deliver a premium experience locally to all those within the office. This role is crucial in providing support to colleagues and hospitality to guests, actively encouraging the maintenance and development of their culture and standards by creating a positive, supportive, and respectful environment for everyone.

The position is conveniently located within walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads Station.

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00AM – 5:30PM. Some flexibility required for earlier start/later finishes for occasional on-site events being hosted.

Duties:

Serve as an ambassador, welcoming all guests into our office, ensuring they receive a warm welcome.

Oversee the hosting of the office in accordance with our policies and practices, including maintaining a tidy working environment and ensuring a clear desk policy.

Manage stock levels of consumables and stationery by placing regular orders with the central procurement team.

Coordinate with the Hospitality team to ensure events and lunches are set up appropriately and run smoothly.

Set up meeting rooms with necessary refreshments and ensure these are refreshed as required.

Handle incoming and outgoing post and parcels efficiently.

Welcome new joiners by orientating them around the office, making introductions, and assisting with initial IT setups.

Conduct regular floor walks to ensure printers and other shared resources are adequately stocked.

Perform general housekeeping throughout the office to maintain neatness and cleanliness.

Liaise with central Office Services team to support colleagues with operational issues including maintenance and meeting room bookings.

Host local events and present food, beverages, and specialist catering within the office.

Report maintenance needs and oversee contractors.

Act as the local representative for all other Business Services teams.

Requirements:

Presentable and personable with strict adherence to the dress code as the position is uniformed.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Flexibility to occasionally start early or finish late during events.

IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure office operations run smoothly.

Benefits:

Pension: Employer and employee contribution rates are set at 5%. You have the option to increase your contribution up to a max of 10% under the salary sacrifice scheme. Contributions above 10% can be made but will fall outside the salary sacrifice scheme.
