The Supply Register are currently working in partnership with Ark Academy. Ark Academy is an all-through school in Wembley Park, set against the backdrop of the iconic Wembley Stadium, with excellent transport links.

About the role

We are looking for a KS5 Lead Teacher of Physics who is committed to ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. You will have passion, enthusiasm, alongside the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in your care. You will deliver consistently excellent teaching and learning, to help all students to achieve excellent academic results.

The role will include teaching and co-ordinating the delivery of Physics at A-level across year groups 12 to 13. You will support the Head of science to enhance provision and will get the opportunity to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring leader to develop their career with the support of excellent leadership and strong school culture at our Academy.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE; BEd or equivalent and hold QTS status.
  • be an outstanding teacher of KS5 Physics or have the potential to become outstanding.
  • be experienced in raising or the desire to raise attainment in a challenging classroom environment.
  • have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully to raise attainment in KS5 Physics
  • have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully with students of all abilities.
  • be committed to Ark's ethos of high expectations and no excuses and the belief that every child can succeed.

Requirements

  • Must hold QTS
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain.
  • Must hold the Right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 years worth of professional references
