Communications & Publication Manager

Our ever-growing client based in bright and spacious offices near Gloucester Town Centre are currently recruiting for a well-organised and creative Communications & Publication Manager to join their fun and friendly team on a Maternity Cover contract for the period of 12 months. This is a part-time position working 3 days per week, which can be worked on a hybrid basis if desired.

This is a really exciting time to join the company as they are currently rebranding and are approaching their 75th anniversary.

The main responsibility of this role will be to oversee the publication of the company's magazine, providing ongoing support to the wider communications team as well as commissioning articles and liaising with both photographers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with colleagues to produce a magazine with relevant, accurate and engaging content that aligns with corporate objectives
  • Liaising with writers, designers, and printers to ensure the magazine is produced on time and within budget
  • Writing feature articles/ news articles for use in the Journal/ website
  • Proofreading copy prior to print run
  • Conducting an annual review of the magazine, measuring engagement levels and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Managing the company's image library, cataloguing images and ensuring compliance with all legal obligations
  • Deal with and respond to member queries via telephone
  • Supporting ad hoc design requests including banners, leaflets and event programmes
  • Uploading content to the company website

Candidate Attributes:

  • Previous experience working within a similar role would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of putting together engaging content i.e. newsletter/ articles
  • Passion for writing
  • Creative and forward-thinking mindset
  • Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal

Hours; 3 days per week - total of 23 hours per week. Hybrid option - 2 days working from the Gloucester office, 1 day working from home if desired. This company can also offer flexibility with start/finish times.

Salary; £30 - £35k per annum, pro rata
