We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, who is looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, budgets, and financial statements, as well as playing a key role in the company's financial decision-making processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
- Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.
- Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal controls.
- Assist with budget preparation and budget reviews, providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Work with audit and compliance teams to ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Liaise with managerial staff and other colleagues to provide support and guidance on financial matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex data.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
