Property Lawyer Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of commercial and residential property matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, contracts, leases, and agreements tailored to clients' specific needs and objectives.
  • Oversee the successful execution and implementation of property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Supervise and mentor trainee solicitors, legal assistants, and junior members of the team, offering guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Stay current with legal developments, changes in legislation, and industry best practices through ongoing professional training and continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless and exceptional client service, fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication.

Property Lawyer Requirements

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years' PQE
  • Proven experience in Commercial and Residential Property Law, with a solid understanding of legal principles and procedures.
  • Familiarity with rural and agricultural property matters is highly advantageous due to the nature of the firm's client base.
  • Experience to include negotiating leases for landlords and tenants, development agreements, property finance, acquisitions of development sites, portfolio acquisitions and sales, overages, freehold purchases and sales
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities, with a commitment to supporting and developing others.
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant IT systems, software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of the SOS document management system is preferred but not essential.
