The Role
The Senior Indirect Buyer will have the following key responsibilities:
- Procurement responsibility for all Indirect spend on site, including energy, MRO, FM, Capex etc
- Supplier relationship management, identifying opportunities for rationalisation/cost reduction/avoidance
- Supplier/-cost negotiations and performance management, contract renewals/retenders, contract management
- Business partnering internal stakeholders
About You
The ideal Senior Indirect Buyer will have/be
- A indirect procurement background, gained from within Manufacturing
- Strategic indirect procurement experience essential, accustomed to managing multiple indirect categories
- Excellent attention to detail, technically minded, strengths in supplier relationship management
- Proactive, positive can-do attitude, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Adaptable to the changing requirements and priorities within the business
- Resilient, strong communicator, confident in challenging and engaging cross functionally with stakeholders of all levels
