What do the team do?

Sitting within the Marketing team this role involves delivering outstanding administrative support and customer service for our Marketing and the Events teams. This involves providing support, ensuring effective communication within the team and with external suppliers, and maintaining workflows, processes and meeting deadlines for assignments and important internal events. The individual in this role will represent the Marketing and Events teams and liaise professionally with external parties and key senior members of the firm.

What will I be doing?

As a Marketing and Events Assistant you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Managing diaries for the Marketing and Events teams, organising and attending team meetings, where required and following up with attendees on actions agreed.
  • Assisting in preparation of reports for team including Weekly KPIs and Quarterly Reports.
  • Maintaining several central resources, workflows and project logs for team, such as design queues, promotional material and digital tools.
  • Helping to keep track of agreed sponsorship and log networking events to help join up and maximise our sponsorship and networking efforts - agree priorities with Marketing and the Board to make sure the right people are going to the right events.
  • Assisting the events team with a range of internal and external events (venue bookings, booking catering, badges and conference stands, and ordering merch etc., to create a comfortable and engaging environment for delegates).
  • Attending events to oversee and ensure smooth running on the day.

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

  • Prior events coordination experience (minimum criteria).
  • Experience working in a professional services / office environment (minimum criteria).
  • Strong planning and time management.
  • Minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Excellent skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.
  • Knowledge or awareness of design packages (Adoble InDesign etc.) is desirable but not essential.
