The Role

Are you an experienced Financial Controller with a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations? Do you have the ability to lead financial operations and drive efficiency in a dynamic environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a Pro Sportswear manufacturer, looking to appoint an experienced and analytical Financial Controller to our growing team.

You will oversee all financial aspects of our organisation, including accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities. This is a crucial role that requires excellent analytical skills, effective leadership, and a deep knowledge of financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the company, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain internal controls.
  • Forecast and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate funding for operations and investments.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and track budgets, ensuring financial goals and targets are adhered to.
  • Coordinate and liaise with tax authorities and regulatory bodies as required

The Person

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, and preferably a professional certification (e.g., ACCA ,, CIMA).
  • Substantial experience using SAGE.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial management best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience within a fast-moving environment is a benefit.
  • Experience in a clothing environment would be a plus.
