My main contractor client is growing their team and is looking for a strong Design Manager to join their team in North East England. With projects varying from residential, commercial, education and healthcare, this company has a strong pipeline of work and a healthy order book for the next couple of years. They are looking for someone who is a team player who can add value to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design process from tender stage through to completion
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure design objectives are met.
- Oversee the production of design deliverables, ensuring they align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and statutory bodies to ensure all design work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage design risks and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing design process from tender
- Main contractor experience would be preferable but those with client and project management experience would also be considered for this role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
