Designate Store Manager

Posted by Holland & Barrett International Limited.

Job Type: Permanent

Store Locations: North/East London

Hours: 38.75 hours per week

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum DOE, 25% colleague discount, 28-days annual leave pro rata

THE JOB

Are you passionate about customer service? Keen to continue your career with the largest UK Health and Wellness Retailer?

As our Designate Store Manager, agility and passion to help and support others is key as you'll be supporting the North/East Region by travelling to different stores and covering in the absence of a Store Manager. This will include the management of the store during your time there, supporting the team working alongside you, providing coaching and training where and when required, motivating and encouraging others, and delivering on store operational standards and expectations.

The future permanent store location for this role will be a store around North/East London, and dependant on the candidates home location and flexibility to travel. If you would like to join H&B, this is a great first step! Until you are matched with the right store for you, you will act as a Relief Manager.

Supported by your Regional Manager, you will be provided with a schedule of work throughout the Region and act as a ‘Cover' or ‘Relief' Store Manager. This provides you with a vast knowledge of different types of stores, creates and builds on relationships with others, builds on problem-solving skills in solving issues and helping stores needing support, and reporting back to the Regional Manager when required.

As this is a travelling role without a specific ‘home store', travel expenses are paid and the salary is slightly higher than the average in the Region to compensate for regular change in working patterns, however the working pattern would still be within a 5-day working week of approx. 38.75hrs per week and will include reasonable weekend working as this is a retail role.

This role is ideal for joining H&B because, by the time a store becomes available, you will have been prepared to be an outstanding leader. You will be ready to face challenges, apply everything you have learned from various stores, become a brand ambassador for Holland & Barrett, and build a high-performing team by recruiting, coaching, training, motivating, and setting clear expectations.
