Accounts Receivable Clerk Role Overview

This position will suit somebody with previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or Sales Ledger Clerk and is an ideal opportunity to grow your Career within a leading organisation.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all cash received is allocated to the correct customer account.
  • Ensure invoices and credit notes are matched against each other as required.
  • Liaise with customers regarding receipts without remittances.
  • Liaise with the wider finance team to resolve queries and cash allocation discrepancies.
  • Review unallocated payments to ensure a prompt and accurate allocation.
  • Process customer refunds as required.
  • Post, record and bank cash from multiple business sites.
  • Support with regular cash recording reporting.
  • Manage customer queries via telephone and email.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger, accounts receivable or accounts assistant position.
  • A desire to develop a career within an accounts receivable or finance role.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A logical and methodical approach to tasks and duties
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A team player mentality with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to tasks and duties
  • Strong computerised systems and Excel skills.
