Our client is currently looking for a talented and strategicDirector of E-Commerce & Marketing, to join their team based out of their head offices in West London. As a scaling retail brand, they've enjoyed great success recently and you'll be able to play a key role in shaping the future of their ecommerce division, driving omnichannel excellence. The role will come with a competitive base salary, private health care, company car or £10K cash equivalent, family partnership scheme, and bonuses that could equate to 20% of base salary. You'll also have an opportunity to work for a business who have been recognised as a world class company to work for. Due to the nature of the post this is a head office biased role, so we would need somebody who is happy with either five days per week from the offices, or possibly a 4 day office, 1 day from home split.

Director of E-Commerce – Responsibilities

  • Driving and implementing a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with growth plans
  • Identifying market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to optimise the online platform
  • Building and leading a high-performing e-commerce team, providing strategic direction and mentorship
  • Utilising analytics to track KPIs and provide regular reports to the board
  • Collaborating with marketing and agency teams to optimise conversion rates and CX
  • Ensuring SEO markers are hit to ensure traffic flows to the website
  • Tracking and demonstrating the value of online in generating leads and driving store footfall
  • Overseeing the user experience designing and implementing strategies to enhance website usability and discoverability.

Director of E-Commerce – Required Skills

  • Proven track record in scaling e-commerce operations with a deep understanding of omnichannel retailing, e-commerce technologies and digital marketing.
  • Adaptable, customer-first leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and fosters a collaborative culture.
  • A good understanding of omni-channel, including ‘bricks & mortar' retail.
  • Highly growth-focused with an understanding of the commercials across the business.
  • Proven experience in tracking leads and customer touchpoints throughout their journey.
  • Experience of working with brands that have multiple stores across the UK.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Experience in website management and functionality.
  • SFCC (PWA kit) platform or other composable, headless storefront knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to influence strategic decisions.
