M&E Section Manager

Leading the Mechanical & Electrical team covering a Rail track side infrastructure framework in the South East.

Location: - London / Kent region

Salary: - £60,000 - £65,000 basic + Package

Role Description

The Resolute Group has been retained to identify and secure a M&E Section Manager to lead a Rail trackside infrastructure framework in the South East of England

Looking after the day-to-day running of the various rail infrastructure such as lighting, power supplies, pumps, emergency doors, fire protection etc... This isn't a project-based role, more focused on Facilities / Asset Management for the Rail industry. Leading a team of Electrically bias Engineers that carry out the day-to-day checks and minor repairs.

Managing a team of 30 Engineers, working a mixture of days and nights your role is leading a team from daily operations through to their training and development. Being the escalation point of any major issues, then developing the project programmes for any work that falls outside of the planned preventative maintenance.

You don't need Rail experience, but it would be an advantage, the key skills we are looking for is coming from an Engineering background (Ideally Electrical) and having the leadership of running a team of Engineers. The importance of both ensuring the work is completed to the correct standards each day is just as important as having a happy motivated team.

There will be travel across the Kent region from London and through Kent, so you need to be flexible. Working on site a minimum of 3 days a week be it office or visiting your team on site. There may also be night work depending on the work being undertaken and if it needs your time and focus as Stakeholder engagement is key. Working in the Rail sector you can't afford to not have the Rail network running as any delays will equal in fines being occurred.

Required Experience

  • Electrical qualification be it Apprenticed Trained / HNC / HND or Degree
  • Management experience - proven ability in leading an Engineering team.
  • UK driving licence
  • Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
