Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and versatile Warehouse Operative. The role involves both physical tasks, such as lifting and moving items in the warehouse and on-site, as well as supporting the Warehouse Manager with stock maintenance and organisation. During quieter periods, the you will assist with warehouse upkeep, tidying, light DIY tasks, and preparing stock for peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive a 3.5t Luton van for deliveries and collections.
- Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and movement of goods within the warehouse and on-site.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to maintain accurate stock levels and organisation.
- Assist in clearing and tidying the warehouse, particularly during off-peak periods.
- Conduct light DIY tasks and ensure the workspace is prepared for busy periods.
- Pack and wrap goods to meet high-quality standards.
- Load and unload items efficiently and on time.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions.
- Operate a forklift safely within the storage warehouse.
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times.
- Effectively communicate with team members and clients.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during transportation.
Hours and Benefits:
- Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard rate during busy months, including Saturdays, Sundays, or evening work.
- Salary: £26,000 per annum
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience driving 3.5T vehicles (e.g., Luton vans).
- Valid counterbalance forklift license.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid UK driving license.
