Junior National Account Manager - NIKON Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus fantastic benefits, including green travel allowance, home office furniture allowance and private medical care and well-being allowance
Full time permanent hybrid role Based in Surbiton
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short, mid and long-term account targets and strategies which provide for the achievement of sales and distribution objectives with a clear view to maximising profitability and ROI
- Monitor and control account performance to agreed budgets
- Maximise top line sales within agreed profitability targets
- Identify and communicate sales opportunities to support the business in achieving overall market sales and profitability targets
- Develop a clear account strategy, within the context of the customer, channel and product strategies for the UK
- Evaluate performance through external market research data to track share performance and identify opportunities
- Understand the role of the customer and consumer within the wider context of the purchase process to maximise overall performance
- Secure commitment and listings from accounts by leveraging promotions/programmes and COOP marketing fund, delivering maximum ROI, across the product range
- Manage approved and allocated co-op budgets within the authorised sign off levels and that all expenditure is recorded.
- Manage all communication of investment, promotional claims, credit returns, audit claims to ensure good financial control
- Propose and agree with Sales Manager account financial targets on a quarterly basis, recorded with nominated personnel in Sales Operations and documented in writing with the customer
- Liaise with Marketing to develop programmes which support the overall account strategy
- Manage the effective launch of new products
- Develop customer training plans to communicate key USPs to relevant customer sales teams
- Maintain frequent customer contact at the operational interface
- Work closely with the Sales Operations team to manage and smooth variability in demand and product availability
- Manage relationships to ensure fairness and transparency where availability is limited
- Provide support to credit control, supply chain and service departments to ensure effective account management
- Prepare for, deliver and follow up all Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings to maintain strong relationships with the customer at all levels
Person Specification
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a sales role
- 1st or 2:1 degree
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills in English
- Intermediate/advanced Excel
- Commercial awareness and confidence communicating with retailers
- Negotiation skills
- Customer oriented and Service minded
- Proactive approach to achievement
- Ability to work on own initiative (organisation and planning)
