An amazing permanent role has been brought to my attention for an experienced SEN teaching assistant, who is eager and willing to provide the best quality of support to students in Key stage 1 and 2.
This fantastic school based in Quedgeley is part of an alternative provision, with other sites located in Gloucestershire supporting students with Social, emotional mental health needs, in addition to challenging behaviour. The school aims to provide a personalised learning experience in an inclusive environment that recognises all members of the community as equals. The headteacher is looking for an applicant that can equip students with resilience, respect and the ability to manage their emotions will enable them to be successful in any classroom or wider social environment.
You will predominantly be based within the classroom offering support to all students, in addition to some 1:1 or small group work. Along with the students, you will be supporting the teacher to manage behaviour and ensure the students are feeling engaged with their learning. Other duties will include helping with lesson preparation and activities that suit the needs of the students.
This will be a full time position, working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only, commencing as soon as possible.
