The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting a Permanent Purchasing & Logistics Assistant for their client based in Dundee.
Location: Dundee - due to location, own transport is essential. (Once fully trained you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis)
Salary: £24,500Per Annum
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
Dealing with external suppliers and planning in delivery dates
Chasing overdue orders
Regular conversations with suppliers building relationships and updating internal database with quotes, contact details and pricing structure.
Handling enquiries from couriers and field staff for smooth and speedy transition in deliveries to suppliers.
Ensuring adequate stock levels across all stores
Working closely with the warehouse and engineers to ensure correct delivery of parts
Other duties as required to support the Procurement and Logistics team
Skills & Abilities Required:
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with great attention to detail.
Computer literate, word, excel and any database experience
Customer service experience and comfortable dealing with external clients on the phone.
The ability to work well under pressure and not afraid to negotiate with external partners
