Commercial Account Handler

Salary £25,000 - £29,000

Our Client is based in Nottinghamshire and is looking for a Commercial Account Handler to be part of their successful commercial broking team.

JOB ROLE

  • Manage new business enquiries and client renewals, including where necessary the re-marketing of policies, issuing renewal documentation within time scales set out by the FCA.
  • Handle incoming client queries, the Commercial Account Handler will advise on policy coverage and/or changes to their cover.
  • Develop relationship with key insurer markets.
  • Work alongside the field sales team (account executives) and the wider team to provide a broking service and assist in the preparation with client reports.
  • Cross sell/up sell to existing clients, by identifying any potential gaps in cover or policies held elsewhere.
  • Contribute towards the team's revenue goals, both for renewal retention and new business.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and complied with, including financial regulations, data protection, health and safety and all regulatory requirements.
  • To identify and manage risk within the scope of the post and be accountable for ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to make sure that controls are in place to manage the risk.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to both internal and external customers.
  • Always ensure positive promotion and representation of the organisation
  • Exhibit and live the values and uphold standards of behaviour.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience

  • Commercial Account Handling experience within an insurance enviornment

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

  • Commercial insurance multi class product knowledge
  • Strong communicator
  • Negotiation skills
  • Customer service & sales focussed.
  • Acturis experience (not essential)

Qualifications and Training

  • Cert CII (not essential) or willingness to work towards
