£19,831.67 + FREE ACCOMMODATION (3 BED UNFURNISHED BUNGALOW) + UTILITIES PAID

Residential Management Group is a large, established, market leading property management company and we are recruiting a live in Scheme Support Officer who will enhance residents' quality of life, by helping to create a warm and friendly environment and by being as helpful, polite and courteous as possible throughout the fulfilment of the role.

You'll be based at Barclay Court, Cirencester, GL7 2EN an over 55's independent living accommodation, where you will also have your own 3-bedroom unfurnished bungalow.

You'll be working 37.5 hours, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to deal with emergencies outside of these hours.

What are some of the other things I will be doing?

  • Professionally manage the over 55's independent living development, with daily monitoring of residents' wellbeing. NB: you are not required to provide nursing or personal care to residents.
  • Professionally manage the development, whilst providing a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with Fire Safety Regulations by keeping all exits clear from obstruction and making sure fire exits are closed.
  • Regularly check that the lighting and heating is working correctly.
  • Ensure a friendly, helpful and approachable image and promote good communications between residents and with any person entering the development.
  • Undertake minor maintenance activities and carry out basic maintenance works where appropriate e.g., changing light bulbs.
  • Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials (ensuring stored in accordance with COSHH Regulations) and order other items e.g., light bulbs and other site related equipment.
  • Support with ensuring the communal areas of the building, garden and grounds, are cleaned and maintained, including litter picking when necessary.
  • Oversee the work of the regular staff visiting the development and the contractors attending to carry out one off repairs, reporting any issues to the Property Manager.
  • Record and report all incidents, accidents and maintenance visits at the development in the appropriate log books.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • A friendly, positive, ‘can-do' and flexible work attitude; on occasions you may need to deal with an out of hours emergency; non-urgent queries should be dealt with in your working day and not in your personal time.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with previous experience within a customer facing customer service role.
  • Confident communicator with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems with diplomacy, empathy, and patience.
  • Able to complete administrative tasks using relevant IT systems.
  • Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
