Security Advisor

Joining the Personnel Security team, you'll provide best practice Personnel Security advice, process National Security clearances and be responsible for the ongoing management of clearances for everyone living and working in the occupied Royal residences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing your own portfolio of work, you'll act as a key contact for cases, undertaking a variety of checks and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with Government security standards and internal policies.
  • You'll work with people from right across the Royal Households and will regularly liaise with external organisations in the provision of security vetting.
  • In a fast-paced team environment, you'll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to understand and underpin the diverse needs of our organisation, contributing to important operational decisions every day.
  • And you'll also support events and a range of projects, making this a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills.

Essential Criteria

  • An understanding of HMG National Security Vetting policy and a proven track record of personnel security experience gained in either the public or private sector.
  • Organised and efficient with lots of initiative, you can juggle a varied workload and process large volumes of information to meet tight deadlines.
  • With proven research and analytical skills, you can balance an understanding of policy and procedure with a pragmatic and sensitive approach to problem solving.
  • A natural communicator, you're at your best working in a team and you'll be confident working with a range of people at different levels.
  • Digitally fluent and with exceptional attention to detail, you'll be able to use and maintain a variety of database systems and use MS Office with ease.
