Test Lead

Test Lead - sought by leading financial services/Fintech company based in Northwest Surrey.

Hybrid working - 2 day a week onsite.

Our client is a leading fintech organisation based in Northwest Surrey. They are looking for a highly motivated individual that will contribute to the performance of an effective and efficient IT development function that supports the software needs.

Essential skills:

  • ISTQB Foundation within Testing
  • Previous demonstrable test lead level experience required at FTE or partner/outsourced.
  • Proficiency of the software development and software testing lifecycles.
  • Practical experience in product testing/software testing/quality assurance and software engineering.
  • Testing experience with browser based and desktop applications.
  • Manual & automated testing hands-on and leadership experience
  • Automation framework setup and maintenance using tools such as Playright, Cypress, Selenium or similar. Working experience with libraries such as RestSharp or equivalent.
  • Functional and Non-Functional Testing Experience for performance and security (preferred) testing.
  • Working in an Agile software development environment (Scrum, Agile Release Train etc).
  • Experience with all Windows based operating systems (client and server).
  • Experience with SQL Server and Transact-SQL queries.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in testing frameworks/testing automation (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, SoapUI)
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Experience writing acceptance tests / test cases as part of a BDD model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordinating the testing team to ensure successful and timely delivery of testing workload aligned with software releases and under the guidance of the Head of Testing.
  • Reviewing software releases scope and project specifications and working with other product departments to understand the system requirements, including the system software architecture, design, internal and external interfaces, use cases, etc.
  • Apply and promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) culture and principles, together with the organisation's behaviours and values.
