About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher for a highly reputable SEN school in Newham. This school is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for children with special educational needs, ensuring every student reaches their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with SEN and will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
