Overview

Are you a confident and adaptable individual looking for flexible work in education? We are seeking Cover Supervisors to join our team for day-to-day supply roles in secondary schools across London.

Employment Type: Day to Day Supply Work

About the Role:

This role involves covering a range of subjects, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure students stay on task.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behaviour according to school policies.
  • Support students' learning by answering questions and providing assistance
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition between lessons

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school students, ideally in a supervisory or educational support role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a classroom.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and teaching styles as required.
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work, with the ability to cover at short notice.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.

Experience covering some or all of these subjects is advantageous:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • History
  • Geography
