Business Development - Corporate Finance

You will take responsibility for helping to co-ordinate and originate deal flow within the business, based from the firm's Birmingham office.
By following financial press, local business stories, using internet driven databases, from their own research and tip offs you and the team will identify companies around set financial criteria where it is believed there will be a future corporate finance transaction and attempt to get a meeting with the appropriate Director in the business. Any financial knowledge required will be given in internal training.
You will prepare detailed meeting briefs for meetings arranged so the director/partner attending is well briefed. You will be a dedicated deal originator for certain sector teams, involving yourself in team discussions on sector marketing strategy and working closely with the research team.
The successful candidate will not necessarily come from a Corporate Finance background but will have a tenacious and self motivated personality that lends itself to cold calling and engaging with stakeholders at a senior, level and be capable of embracing a high level of professionalism.
