Your new company, a Global Lloyds Insurance broker, based in the heart of the City of London is looking for an experienced Real Estate Claims Consultant to join their organisation. Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for helping create, manage and grow a brand new Real Estate and Construction Consultancy Claims offering within a leading Lloyd's Insurance Broker. You will need significant experience in managing large and complex claims for clients across the Real Estate and Construction classes of business ideally within both the Lloyd's and Company market, you will be regularly collating information from the relevant clients and stakeholders, calculating their losses and presenting them to loss adjusters whilst regularly attending and leading claims meetings with clients, loss adjuster and insurers.
You will also be tasked with helping find and develop alternative revenue streams within Claims on behalf of the business, securing agreement from clients to earn fees for the preparation of their claims and in establishing a thorough understanding of policy wording and coverage afforded to clients.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need excellent technical claims experience as well as an in-depth understanding of the Lloyd's London market, you will need to be an expert in the Real Estate, Commercial Property and Construction classes of business and will preferably have previous experience of working within a company market insurer as well as a Lloyd's Insurance Broker. (Please note that whilst previous Company market Insurer experience is preferred it is not a prerequisite for the role).
Outside of this you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness and proven ability to continue to develop your knowledge through both informal and formal means and an analytical mindset able to solve complex problems whilst often multitasking to tight deadlines, a willingness to travel to the UK and Europe and be capable of hiring, managing and helping grow a team.
