VACANCY: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

LOCATION: Sherburn-In-Elmet (LS25)

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday rotating shifts 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00

SALARY: £40000 per annum + Standby/On Call

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in refining equipment and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost-effectiveness, safety, and environmental sustainability. The core responsibilities of this role include providing swift breakdown response services, contributing to the development of a robust Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, and delivering comprehensive engineering support across the site. The Maintenance Engineer will also be instrumental in implementing safe work practices, participating in on-call rotas for optimal site coverage, and actively engaging in environmental impact reduction.

Candidates will be expected to maintain meticulous records, manage electronic documentation, and utilise the Sage 200 system for ordering essential parts and services. The role extends to supervising junior team members, collaborating with various departments for continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

The ideal applicant will have a proven track record in both electrical and mechanical engineering within a similar environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and influence are essential. Experience with risk assessments, site safety, and commissioning new equipment will be highly regarded.
