Position: Support Line Operations Manager

Location: Remote with some travel expected

Salary: £43,000 p.a. (Full time 37 hours/week) 6% pension and benefits

Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2026 (with potential for extension)

RCEW, in partnership with Defour Partnership are recruiting a skilled and passionate Support Line Operations Manager — a key leadership role supporting the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of our life-changing national service.

About the Role

  • You will lead operational delivery of the 24/7 Support Line, ensuring the highest standards of survivor-centred, trauma-informed care.
  • Overseeing the operational performance of the Support Line including safeguarding, complaints, quality assurance, and IT systems.
  • Leading a skilled remote team including line management of four staff.
  • Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Officer.
  • Driving service development based on survivor feedback, lived experience insights, and emerging needs.
  • Ensuring partnership collaboration and alignment with national standards and policy.
  • You'll report to the Head of Service Delivery and work closely with internal teams and partner organisations.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience managing support or helpline services — ideally within the VAWG or mental health sectors.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practices, and user-centred service design.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage quality assurance processes, and deliver service improvements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A deep commitment to feminist values, inclusivity, and anti-oppressive working.

We require the post holder to be female – Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements), of the Equality Act (2010) applies. RCEW and local Rape Crisis Centres provide space where women and children who have experienced sexual violence and abuse are supported and can access services.
