Compliance and Assurance Officer - Chertsey (hybrid working)

Up to £45,000

Seeking a Compliance and Assurance Officer for a leading data centre provider that is planning to double in size over the coming years making it an excellent time to join and rapidly progress your career.

Reporting into the Compliance & Assurance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring their management systems are robust, well-maintained, and compliant with business, contractual, ISO, regulatory, and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and processes that are efficient and compliant with relevant standards and practices
  • Actively participate in management reviews for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, handling preparation, chairing, and follow-up tasks
  • Support external audits for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, including preparation and execution
  • Conduct internal reviews, tests, and audits according to the audit timetable, providing reports on findings and recommendations
  • Assist in key health & safety activities such as evacuation programs, fire risk assessments, noise risk assessments, and internal H&S audit actions
  • Provide support and information to internal teams and clients regarding compliance activities and certifications
  • Ensure all relevant regulatory and legal requirements are embedded into activities and associated documents
  • Conduct training sessions on compliance-related activities

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in supporting compliance, assurance, and audit activities in engineering, technical, and/or facilities management, any experience with data centres is a plus!
  • Strong knowledge and experience with management systems certified to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001 will be highly beneficial
  • Awareness of standards such as Investors in People (IIP), Cyber Essentials Plus, or PCI DSS
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in engineering, technical, and/or facilities management, including Data Protection, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Privacy, Health & Safety, and Environmental will be highly desirable

Please note; all potential candidates must hold or have the ability to obtain Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency) and hold a full driving license with own vehicle as you will be expected to travel when required to other sites.

Salary up to £45,000 PA plus excellent benefits.

Hybrid working; ability to work from home 2 days per week.
