Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Milton Keynes (MK Office - Minimum 2 days a week, ideally 3)

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) with potential for the role to become permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Head of Finance and play a key role in managing and optimising our financial processes. This is an urgent requirement, and you will report directly to our new CFO - brand new position !

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Ledger and Credit Control: Manage the invoicing process, ensure timely collections, and handle customer queries.
  • Purchase Leger and Supplier Management: Oversee supplier payments, manage relationships, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Journals: Process and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Banking Reconciliations: Manage bank accounts, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Month End : Assist in the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Process Expenses: Manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ideally a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Dynamics / Business Central is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
