Note: To start this role is expected to be 5 days a week during Discovery.

Role purpose:

The aim of the role IT Business Specialist is to operate with several assigned directorates at a strategic business level. The role has a close relationship with the business areas on order to articulate the business processes through business processing modelling. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities and assessing the high level impact of new requirements in collaboration with others, and position the IT requirement with the operations and applications function. The role requires engagements with solution specialists, IT architects and the test & release team to communicate business requirements and changes. They will also operate proactively as part of the service design function to build a collective understanding of cross business issues, risks and requirements.

The key person attributes required to fulfil this role include; business analysis skills coupled with good communication skills to support key stakeholder management; ability to work collaboratively with other business partners to enable a complete understanding of the business; passionate about our work and understanding of how technology can add value; a strategic thinking style and keen to understand the companies strategy and business plans; and an ability to be diplomatic and skillful in managing relationships, such that they are seen as trusted and valued partners acting as ambassadors for IT. They will be friendly, open minded individuals with a positive attitude good at working under pressure.
