Procurement Manager

- Salary: £45k + Car Allowance + Bonus
My client is looking for a Procurement Manager who is passionate about creating an environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged. This role is crucial in promoting procurement excellence, delivering high standards, and implementing effective procurement strategies to optimise total value across the group.
Day to Day of the role:
- Rationalise and develop the supplier base, incorporating UK, European, and International sourcing strategies.
- Plan and manage categories both tactically and strategically to meet organisational goals.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure procurement goals and targets are understood and met.
- Manage the end-to-end tender process, including RFI/RFP, ensuring alignment with business requirements and KPIs/SLAs.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships during the contracting process.
- Support continuous improvement processes within the procurement team and with stakeholders.
- Provide category-level commercial, contractual, and negotiation support across the group.
- Manage small to medium size projects and support negotiations for large and complex contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years procurement experience with similar responsibilities.
- Experience in Contract Law and contract drafting.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to establish and influence strong working relationships at all levels.
- Essential indirect category experience for both Goods and Services.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
