Lead Digital Analyst

  • Job Type: Full-time - Hybrid role, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

  • Salary: £60,000-70,000 plus a bonus

As a Lead Digital Analyst, you will spearhead the Digital Trading & Marketing Analytics team, shaping the team's strategic direction and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your insights will be pivotal in driving commercial actions to achieve revenue targets and support the company's digital ambitions.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead and define the roadmap for the Digital Trading & Marketing Analytics team.
  • Serve as the principal digital analytics contact, delivering insights that influence commercial decisions.
  • Synthesise data from first and third-party sources to benchmark the company's performance against market trends and competitors.
  • Develop and automate digital reports and dashboards for trading and marketing, reducing the need for manual reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including board members, to create new reporting requirements that drive cross-departmental decision-making.
  • Simplify complex data sets to provide clear, actionable reports and analyses.
  • Promote the development of self-service reporting dashboards.
  • Champion the adoption of new tracking and reporting capabilities introduced by emerging platforms and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading a Digital Analytics team or as a Lead Web Analyst in a fast-paced, commercial eCommerce setting.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics 360 and hands-on experience with GA4.
  • Proficiency in dashboard presentation platforms such as Data Studio, Tableau, with Looker experience being advantageous.
  • Strong command of BigQuery and familiarity with Google Analytics UA/GA4 schema.
  • Competence in mapping event tracking to BigQuery GA schemas.
  • Solid understanding of digital data structures, including data flow from websites to Google Analytics and BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of MVT, A/B testing, and analytics tools.
  • Awareness of GDPR legislation and its implications for digital analytics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of influencing others.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Commercial acumen, analytical prowess, and proven decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
  • Experience in designing and implementing new processes in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in an international context.
  • Flexible and collaborative, able to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Initiative, teamwork, and adaptability are essential.
  • SQL proficiency.
