Warehouse - Goods In / Out Assistant

Reed Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Goods In/Out Assistant to join our customers team in Edinburgh. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth processing of customer parcels through our bespoke system and requires a methodical individual who can adhere to in-house procedures with precision.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process special delivery and courier parcels through the production system.
- Engage with customers via email, telephone, and face-to-face at the reception area.
- Receive training and operate in-house processes and procedures accurately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Train and operate goods in and out equipment as necessary.
- Report any defective goods in and out equipment.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritise a varied workload.
- Perform moving and handling tasks, which may include heavy lifting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous experience in a goods in/goods out or stock department role.
- Team player with the willingness and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience working with jewellery is beneficial.
- High level of manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed step-by-step processes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
