Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Longbridge, Birmingham
Gleeson Recruitment are supporting a successful and dynamic business recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team. Their small finance team is pivotal to the success of the business and continued success in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, with the right support, training and development around. You will be instrumental in providing accurate financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and enhancing the overall financial performance of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone part qualified in ACCA or CIMA and looking for a role where you can develop your skill set further in a great working environment whilst adding value and putting your month end skill set to good use.
- Assisting in the production of management accounts on a monthly / quarterly basis
- Month end reporting
- Accruals, Prepayments and Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Managing cash flow forecasting a
- Communicate to relevant stakeholders effectively
- Weekly KPI reporting
- Identify and drive financial efficiency improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Not essential)
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
