Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Introduction:
A vibrant and welcoming secondary school in the Crawley area and committed to providing a high-quality education are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor. No qualifications needed but a passion to work in education and experience working with children desired.

About the role:

  • Receive and register each class on arrival.
  • Communicate the work set by the class teacher to students.
  • Distribute resources and ensure their safe and careful use.
  • Explain the work if there are difficulties.
  • Support students on the Special Educational Needs register.
  • Maintain good order in the classroom.
  • Collect resources and work at the end of the lesson.
  • Ensure the classroom is left tidy and ready for the next lesson.
  • Write notes for the class teacher on completed work and any arising issues.
  • Cover specific curriculum areas during extended staff absences as directed by the leadership team.
  • At lunchtimes, supervise students in a designated area, maintaining health and safety, appropriate behavior, and environmental consideration.
