We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Biology to join our committed science department.

Role Overview:

As a Teacher of Biology, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons that foster students' curiosity and understanding of biological sciences. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment, helping students develop critical thinking skills and a deep appreciation for the natural world. This role requires a dynamic and innovative educator who can inspire students at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Biology lessons to students at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students' academic growth and understanding.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Biology at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Biology curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
