If you are an experienced and competent Plumbing & Heating Engineer who likes a variety of work predominantly in the commercial arena, then this could be the role for you. Our client is looking for a Plumbing & Heating Engineer who possesses a good skill set and qualifications, is adaptable to the job type and ready for a challenge. Typical jobs would include maintenance and installation of pipework, drainage, sanitaryware, and general plumbing components, plant room refurbishments, installations of water softeners, commercial boilers, office and warehouse fitouts.
Duties Include
- Following manuals, schematics, diagrams and blueprints to complete installations and repairs
- Installation of commercial gas boilers, pump sets, water softener
- Maintenance and services of commercial gas systems
- Installation and maintenance of A/C and heating systems
- Installing, maintaining and repairing pipework including joints, valves, drains and fixtures in all types of structures, including copper, cast iron, and PVC
- Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials purchased for the work
- Responding to plumbing and heating emergencies, determining the issue and making a repair
- Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies
- Testing pipes by filling them with water or air and reading gauges to determine whether system is working accurately
About You
- Must be flexible as you may have to work away from home on occasion
- Excellent customer service & communication skills, face to face, by phone and email
- Organised and able to work accurately and to deadlines
- Work well as a team member and independently
- Good level of practical skills
- Full driving licence

- Gas Safe Card
- ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Heating Qualification
- NVQ Level 3 Heating & Ventilation Qualification
