Business Support

We are seeking first class support to the Thames Valley and Home Counties Operational Team. A varied role that will involve you in all areas of the water treatment process. Working in an incredibly reactive team that relies on the turnaround and organisation of the procurement process involved to provide clean water to our customers. A central contact with great communications skills to maintain a strong relationship with all stakeholders in the area.

  • Location – Shalford, GU4 8BW
  • Permanent part-time position
  • 25.5 Hours Per Week
  • Travel to sites within working hours will be required

What you will be doing as Business Support?

  • H&S Action/Observation Reporting, Allocation and Audits by monitoring on a weekly basis and producing a dashboard to the Area Operations Manager.
  • Keeping all Hubs on sites updated along with the Site Information Cards (SIC) and Standard Operating Manuals (SOM's).
  • Chemical Ordering, Receipting/Issue and Monitoring (including Gas Cylinder Movement) within specified timeframes.
  • Procurement of CAPEX/OPEX requisitions, dealing with queries and ensuring prompt receipt. Supplying cover for the area Technical Coordinator and Regional Business Support if required.
  • Arranging minor civils, general maintenance, tree surgery, fence repairs and pest control from requesting services through to completion of work.
  • Updating the Budget and Purchase Order Trackers for the Operational Area on a weekly basis and attend Finance meetings with the Area Operations Manager to discuss spend.
  • Action Recording in the Risk, Work Planning and Area Performance meetings and various ad-hoc meetings as and when required.
  • Leading the CAPEX/OPEX Recharge meeting to ensure all timings are captured for finance.
  • Leading meetings with the area management team to ensure all H&S training is monitored and updated for the area.
  • All office duties such as filing, organising photocopier and printer repair/ toner renewal, ID card expiries, keeping a register of WQ standard expiry dates, dealing with visitors/contractors (signing in book and issue of keys where applicable) and operational requirements as they arise.

What should you bring to the role?

  • Good analytical skills are required as well as the ability to communicate findings and actions to other teams.
  • To be engaged, organised, methodical and reactive in all aspects of the role.
  • To learn company IT systems (SAP, Safeguard, APS etc.) and be fully competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communicator and Team Player.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
