Service and quality manager required. Our client is a leading provider of tower cranes and are looking for a service and quality manager to be based in the yard to understand and create new processes within the general running of yard and on-site duties. The client is willing to look at other candidates from outside of the tower crane industry as long as they have electric or hydraulic background in an industrial setting. This role will be a workshop-based role and the main duties will include organising 10 engineers to cover breakdowns and services. The candidate must have a technical approach and be willing to put processes in place.
Service and Quality Manager Position Overview
- This role is yard based in Essex and you will be in charge of 10 engineers organising breakdowns and services whether that be in the yard or out on site.
- In this role you will be creating your own technical process to put in place ideally from an industrial background before.
- Managing and planning the general running and duties of the yard and on-site duties in regards to servicing, breakdown and maintenance on tower cranes.
- The client is willing to look at candidates with a mechanical/electrical/hydraulic background with experience in running departments in a similar role.
- This role is a great opportunity to put your own stamp on the general running of the workshop.
- Organise general running of the workshop and maintain high standards within the company.
- In this role there is occasionally the need to get hands on and help out.

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience
- Strong experience of setting new processes within a business and implementing them
- Good leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Within a commutable distance of Essex
- The candidate must have a technical approach
Service and Quality Manager Position Remuneration
- £50,000-£65,000 dependant on experience
- Monday-Friday 8:00-17:00
- 30 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
- No overtime expected
