We're representing a leading marketing agency that collaborates with a diverse portfolio of international and UK-based clients. Their client base includes both B2B and B2C companies, ranging from SMEs to global multinationals, with a particular focus on sectors like technology, professional services, and consumer electronics.

Our client is seeking an organised, proactive Web Developer who either brings solid knowledge of website development and management or is a motivated junior looking to develop their skills in a dynamic agency setting.

This role will see you joining a talented team of designers, developers, and client services professionals. With several recent client wins, the agency needs a web developer with the technical expertise to code, modify, and optimise websites, emails, and apps to support their ongoing projects.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in developing websites using popular content management systems and frameworks, specifically WordPress (essential).
  • Intermediate experience in LAMP development (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
  • Ability to create custom themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Experience working collaboratively with design teams and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality websites following design specifications, using best practice coding methods to ensure sites are mobile-responsive and functional across all modern web browsers.
  • Create HTML-based emails to match design specifications.
  • Handle basic server management tasks.
  • Troubleshoot email management and deliverability issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients to manage their needs and expectations.
  • Manage domains and DNS settings to ensure seamless website operations.
