Transport Development Support Officer

Location: Dorchester (Hybrid)

Contract: Temporary

Salary: £12.16 per hour

Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term partner for a Transport Development Support Officer based in Dorchester. This is a great opportunity to work within a dynamic team, providing essential support in the management of transport services across the region. If you have strong communication skills, IT proficiency, and experience in a customer service or office environment, this role could be a perfect fit!

What You'll Do:

  • Answer calls and emails from a variety of stakeholders, including parents, contractors, schools, and passenger assistants.
  • Liaise with both internal and external parties to coordinate and resolve transport-related queries.
  • Use Microsoft Office, Teams, and other internal software applications for day-to-day tasks.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all activities.
  • Conduct route evaluations using mapping software to assess the suitability of transport routes.
  • Handle initial complaints and escalate more complex issues to senior team members.
  • Organise route cover for Passenger Assistants and ensure smooth service delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • BTEC National Certificate, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience with office tasks, data analysis, and IT systems, with knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and good problem-solving abilities.
  • A team player who can work under pressure and adapt to varied situations.
  • Numerical proficiency and an organised approach to managing tasks.
