Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle within local and national regulations
- Deliver goods and packages to designated locations within specified timeframes
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing techniques
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any defects or issues
- Adhere to company and safety policies, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Provide outstanding customer service, effectively communicating with clients and colleagues
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 2 license with no more than 6 penalty points
- Current Driver CPC qualification
- Proven experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver, preferably with knowledge of Northampton roads
- Strong understanding of the rules and regulations governing the transportation industry
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends if required
- Must have a valid Digital Tachograph Card
