Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data collection and analysis.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Provide support during audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.
- Support senior accountants with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
