Our client is seeking a Corporate Accounting and Consolidation Specialist to join their finance team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a global team, responsible for the preparation and analysis of high-quality financial reporting information. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with various teams across the organisation, ensuring local and group reporting requirements are met.

What you'll do:
As a Corporate Accounting and Consolidation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that local and group reporting requirements are met. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing interim and year-end financial submissions, performing complex consolidations, liaising with external auditors, and facilitating the deregistration and liquidation of dormant entities. You will also be expected to maintain effective working relationships across your own team and relevant Group Functions.

  • Prepare interim and year-end financial submissions for corporate reporting purposes.
  • Perform technical accounting notes and other notes as required.
  • Undertake the Corporate Consolidation in HFM.
  • Perform share scheme and pension accounting, along with other complex accounting tasks.
  • Prepare Corporate plan and forecasts.
  • Review Entity financial statements prepared by GSS.
  • Liaise effectively with key contacts in Group Functions such as Global Shared Services; Group Tax; Company Secretarial; Group HR; Group Treasury and Corporate Finance.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Corporate Accounting and Consolidation Specialist role will bring a wealth of experience in understanding and interpreting IFRS and other technical pronouncements. You will have proven experience in performing complex consolidations, statutory reporting, and relevant legislation. Your ability to maintain effective working relationships across your own team and relevant Group Functions will be crucial to your success in this role.

  • University Degree in a relevant field.
  • CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Competency in relevant financial systems (e.g. SAP; HFM; Blackline).
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting IFRS and other technical pronouncements.
  • Experience in performing complex consolidations.
  • Experience in statutory reporting and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships across own team and relevant Group Functions.
