Location - Margate
Contract - Temp to Perm
Salary - £12.21 per hour plus £8 per shift for night shift allowance
Hours - Sunday night to Tuesday night 19:00 - 05:00 and Wednesday night 19:30 - 05:00 or Monday - Wednesday 20:00 - 06:00 and Thursday 20:00 - 05:30
We are currently seeking a Team Leader who has previous experience working within the food production Industry to support our Client based in Margate.
They pride themselves on supplying to wholesalers and national accounts across the UK with delicious bakes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise allocated staff in the production or packing area as directed by the Production Manager
- Manage the Shift Operation in the absence of the Shift Leader
- Handle documentation tasks such as batch coding and check weighing
- Ensure accurate weighing of ingredients, adherence to recipes, and proper batch coding from goods into goods out. Maintain correct temperature control of flour, yeast, and all ingredients, ensuring traceability by following relevant procedures and completing necessary documentation
- Ensure the optimal operation of machinery within Health and Safety guidelines to maximise efficiency
- Verify that products are of the correct size, shape, and weight
- Adhere to hygiene standards and staff health and safety requirements in compliance with relevant procedures and legislation
- Perform quality control to ensure products meet specification standards
- In the Packing Department, ensure the printer, labelling, packaging machines, and metal detector are set up and operating correctly
- Palletise, label, code, and date products accurately
