Overview
Estimator to join our growing family run building firm operating across the Domestic, Commercial and Heritage sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Commercial Director in preparing accurate and competitive bids for various construction projects.
- Gathering and analysing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
- Calculating material quantities and costs, labour hours, and equipment requirements.
- Assisting in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier inquiries and evaluations.
- Reviewing and analysing subcontractor bids and proposals.
- Assisting in the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets.
- Assisting with change order management and cost tracking.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in Construction Estimating, formal training/qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials. Experience across multiple construction disciplines desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
