Description

  • Develop & implement HR strategies that align with the company's and division's objectives, with particular focus on growth through strategic people planning.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to provide strategic HR insights and updates. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure the HR strategy is effectively aligned to business needs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and communication of legally compliant employment policies
  • Develop and oversee robust employee development programs designed to enhance professional growth: including training, mentorship, and succession planning.
  • Using extensive skills, knowledge and commercial business acumen to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement, talent analytics and management.
  • Identify critical workforce gaps within the Division; develop plans for critical workforce and skills needs, and align them with long-term business plans, strategic drivers and initiatives.
  • Provide professional leadership, support and development to HR staff, to increase knowledge, share best practices and to ensure that relevant professional standards are met.
  • Develop and execute a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with company values, business strategy and commitments.
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention.
  • Work as an integral member and contributor to the Company Senior HR Leadership team.
  • Set Division HR framework and metrics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Division working with the Chief HR Officer.
  • Work in partnership with the Chief HR Officer and business leaders to cultivate workplace culture that prioritises employee well-being and adheres to ethical practices.
  • Support the annual performance cycle of people activity within the division.
  • Ensure that the Division complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety).
  • Ensure Employee Relations are managed effectively and compliantly for the Division.
  • Coordinate and liaise with divisional and group heads of HR and Reward to share best practices and evolve consistent governance and implementation of policy and practice

Profile

  • Minimum of Level 5 CIPD essential
  • Previous experience operating in a senior HR position
  • Proven leadership experience in managing departments and teams.
  • Up to date understanding of employment law in the UK
  • Coaching and Mentoring qualification (or equivalent) - preferred
